Asif Deen plays Gerome, a slightly insecure youth faced with the normal pressures of a teen growing up. This role often gets him in trouble as his actions bring him problem after problem and no clear solutions. He relies heavily on his best friend Gino for direction and enjoys the mischief that the two of them often get into while at the same time trying to stay out of trouble..

Star and one of the music composers for Hormones, Asif graduated from the Broadcasting program at Algonquin College in Ottawa. Outside of the show he provides research support for each of the series topics and helps with the business aspects of getting the end product out to the customers..

In real life Asif is a very active outgoing youth with a love for sports, especially basketball. He was known around the school for never being in class, preferring to sneak out to socialize with the girls. In the evenings he parties and hangs out with friends..

Asif won the Ottawa Centre for Research and Innovation Student IT Entrepreneur of the Year award for his work in helping to raise $15,000 for the cancer unit at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario. His work was also recognized by Ontario Premiere Dalton McGuinty.

Asif now works in the emergency department of the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario.
